Answer selected: Ice is continuing to racially profile and refuse to unrelease anyone

Based on the NILC article, the overall finding is that ICE has significantly expanded detention practices in ways that sharply limit release options and deviate from long-standing enforcement norms. The article explains that ICE is increasingly detaining people without offering bond, even when immigration law allows for individualized custody determinations. It also documents the rollback of prior enforcement guidelines that had protected pregnant people, primary caregivers, and long-term community members, replacing them with blanket detention policies. According to NILC, ICE has centralized parole decisions at headquarters, effectively stripping local officers of discretion and making release extremely rare, even for people who are legally eligible. Overall, the evidence suggests a shift from case-by-case enforcement toward near-automatic detention, raising serious legal and humanitarian concerns.

The primary sources cited in the article include ICE policy memoranda and internal guidance obtained through litigation and advocacy, which show that ICE instructed officers to deny bond and parole broadly and to detain nearly all noncitizens who entered without inspection, regardless of length of residence or family ties (summarized in the NILC article: https://www.nilc.org/articles/ice-is-detaining-indiscriminately-and-releasing-almost-no-one/). These documents reveal that parole authority was moved from field offices to ICE headquarters, confirming claims that local officers can no longer authorize release. The article itself serves as a secondary source, produced by the National Immigration Law Center, an immigrant-rights advocacy organization that may have an interest in highlighting harms caused by enforcement practices. However, the claim is strongly supported by the primary ICE policy documents NILC references and by immigration law, which generally requires individualized custody determinations and allows bond for many noncitizens. Little evidence in the article undermines the claim, aside from ICE’s implied justification that stricter detention promotes enforcement efficiency. Attempts to contact ICE or DHS, as reported by NILC, resulted in no substantive response beyond general statements defending enforcement authority, with no direct rebuttal of the specific allegations about bond denial, parole restrictions, or the abandonment of protections for pregnant people and caregivers.

Commented: Instagram fact-checks all political posts automatically

While this seems to be true, the New York Times has been a long time adversary to Instagram and the parent company of Meta. Adding the source from NPR strengthens this argument and helps to back up the credibility of the NYT.

When you said that "Zuckerberg claimed the fact-checkers had been "too politically biased" and "destroyed more trust than they have created.' What ways was it too politically biased? More left or right leaning?

Looking through both the link you attached and the source post link I couldn't find any mention of 95% or any other concrete number for how many sources are or aren't addressing their AI usage, only that the amount was "The most jarring".

While you do cite organizations like the UN and IPCC, you do not directly explain why these sources were chosen nor explain why these directly support your response to this claim. Your response also feels emotionally charged which makes it hard to differentiate between the evidence and opinion begins and ends, can you more clearly clarify which of these claims are scientific?

Answered: The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest held to date with 48 competing teams

This claim is true. There's not much to it other then the fact that it is a fact that this will be the first time a world cup has 48 teams competing. 48 being the largest ever. You can find this in the first sentence of the source cited. This was not a hard claim to really break down as there is no controversy to it. It's just the truth.

Answer selected: A viral video of schoolchildren chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ in a classroom is real

Looking into the article it's a fake video. Not able to upload the original post here, but on the original post it also misspells "Allahu Akbar" which would signify an AI generated post based on human input error.

No one has found a credible source to back this proclaimed video as real. The school did also come out with a statement saying that it was false.

Meta may have violated EU law by making it too hard for users to report illegal content.

In October 2025 the European Commission announced preliminary findings that Meta had breached the EU’s Digital Services Act by providing “dark patterns” (designs that discourage reporting) for user complaints about illegal content, meaning users found it too difficult to report child sexual abuse, terrorist content, and other illegal material on Facebook/Instagram. (theguardian.com) For female college users who may use social-media extensively and may care about online safety and rights, this claim highlights that major platforms are under scrutiny for how well they protect users and how accessible their complaint systems are. The claim is supported by official findings; the nuance: the case is still ongoing (preliminary), and the violation is about process (“making difficult”) not necessarily a quantified failure rate. But it’s a valid claim: Meta is found in breach of EU law on user-rights grounds.

Commented: Sean "Diddy" Combs has been sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in Federal Prison.

Overall, this article is mostly correct in its description of what occurred with the accusations of Diddy’s sexual assault and engaging in Ventura’s prostitution in December to November of 2023. Its timeline is correct with his lawsuit in 2023, following with his arrest in 2024 and leading to the trial in 2025. However, the article focuses almost only on Ventura. It mentions how hundreds of people came out with their own accusations. It doesn’t describe with this though how some claimed they were “sex trafficked" and “gang raped” according to the source the user cited by BBC (Savage). The description of what happened is short and factual, so the article publisher also doesn’t get into the personal details of how Ventura was groomed toward the incident of trafficking and emotionally abused by Diddy over a long period of time. With such a short description, they also were unable to describe the imbalance of power in interpersonal relationships towards this since Diddy controlled much of Ventura’s ability to financially stabilize herself as her boss. They also don’t mention how he was sentenced due to the Mann Act for the prostitution charges, confirmed by the department of justice (Jonathan). Some of the major issues with this article though is that Diddy will not be released in 2029. He was incarcerated during the process of going through trial so he has credit already for the amount of time he needs to stay in jail, meaning he’ll most likely get out around 2028 (Liam). Also, the article states that both the counts were related to Ventura but only one was. The second count was due to transporting another woman named Jane for prostitution and sex acts (Brandon and Yousif). Essentially, the article summarizes the main points of Diddy’s trial cases well with the exception of slight incorrect facts like the amount of time he will be required to stay in prison and how both cases were related to Ventura when only one was.
After searching the internet, there is no clear evidence that Trump dislikes singer-songwriter Charli XCX. All that can be found is a tweet from Charli stating “Kamala is brat” in reference to her new album brat. Charli later clarified this tweet, stating that she was not aspiring to be a political artist, but noted she was happy to help prevent democracy from failing forever. Some interpreted this clarification as a political lean, but still no direct contact between Charli and Trump.

Answered: The Judicial system is overly harsh against divorced men

I have found some that both supports and doesn't support evidence of the judicial system being overly harsh towards divorced men. This study shows that after most divorces, men experience a 10% increase in income while women experience a 27% decrease, citing many factors such as a more restricted earning capacity coupled with a disproportionate loss of income. However, it is also shown that women's satisfaction with household income is about the same level as a man's not long after a divorce. Many studies of European countries show that men are more likely to keep their home ownership than women after divorce. When it comes to well-being and health, it has been shown that men tend to suffer a higher mortality rate and a lower life satisfaction than women. it also indicates that women are more likely to file for divorce first. It is also shown that mothers are given custody over children more often, with many sources stating that they are seen as the "primary caregiver". However, many mothers who become single parents have to face the challenge of solo parenting and finding childcare.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5992251/

In the end, the evidence that I have found does not fully support the case that divorced men are treated more harshly by judicial systems, but rather there are many complex variables and many different ways in which both partners suffer during and after divorce.

Answer selected: Claim: Cats are better than dogs

After taking the liberty to consult the source you provided and doing my own research on the topic, I have firstly concluded that this claim is very opinionated, and is not backed by any definitive proof or evidence. The source that was sighted, the New York Times, is typically a very unbiased source, however, it specifically states at the top of the article that it is an opinion piece, and therefore not backed by any actual scientific evidence.

Additionally, all the further research I was able to conduct were strictly opinion based articles and biased towards either cats or dogs. There isn't any actual scientific evidence that I have found to support whether cats or dogs make better companions. The "better animal companion", whether that be cats, dogs, or some other species, is strictly based off preferences and what works for one's own lifestyle.

I have attatched links to websites comparing cats and dogs to further explain the point that it is very perceptive, and the companionship of cats and dogs is strictly based off preference with no actual scientific evidence to back it up.

https://www.diffen.com/difference/Cat_vs_Dog

https://www.hillspet.com/pet-care/new-pet-parent/choosing-between-dogs-and-cats?lightboxfired=true
